Procedure for configuring dynamic labeling on GIS Server or GIS WebServer

Print Previous page Top page Next page

Dynamic map labeling is performed based on lists of objects. The lists of objects are created by the user from the selected objects on the map using the Lists of objects dialog. When creating a list from a map opened on a local computer, the list is saved to an object list file (OBX) in the LOG folder located next to the map file. The OBX file is saved in the map's DBM folder and has the same name as the DBM file, with the addition of the OBX extension. When creating a list from a map opened using GIS Server tools, the list of objects is saved to an OBX file on the GIS Server.

Examples of file locations:

Full name of the map lists file

Full name of the map file

D:\data\road.map

D:\data\log\road.map.obx

D:\data\road.sitx

D:\data\log\road.sitx.obx

D:\data\road.dbm

D:\data\road.dbm.obx

Style configuration is performed in the Lists of objects dialog. After finishing the styling of the map lists in the Lists of objects dialog, it is necessary to select the Dynamic Labeling option and press the Save button.
