Polygon object creation

Polygon object of a digital map is the area (polygon), restricted by closed polyline. Displaying style of polygon object is defined in map classifier. He has a conditional classification code, established for it and list of the attributive characteristics. Besides main (exterior) boundary, polygon object can include "islands" - subobjects. Polygon object can be spatially connected to other map objects and logically connected to one or several records of the external database.

Depending onto its type polygon can be created as one of following:

- as object of arbitrary configuration;

- as a horizontal, rotated or complex rectangle;

- as a circle of fixed or arbitrary radius;

- during a semiautomatic vectoring of a raster background;

- is loaded (coordinates) from a text file;

- is entered (coordinates) from the keyboard;

- as a parallel line (tube) with an axis along a line or along the left edges;

- as an envelope or smoothing spline;

- creation of objects group by coordinates from the file.
