Paste linear objects to control the direction and semantics

Print Previous page Top page Next page

The selected linear objects of the same type (same code) are pasted together. In this case, the operator specifies the code of semantics, the values of which must coincide for the objects being pasted. For example, when merging Hydrography objects, this can be the Name, and when merging contour lines, it can be Absolute height. If the semantics code is not specified, the pasting is performed without checking the semantics coincidence.

In addition, the operator specifies the Maximum difference values. Maximum difference is the distance within which the coordinates of points are identified, and, consequently, objects are pasted.

During the pasting process, the angle of turning of the object at the pasting point is analyzed.

If the maximal turning angle is not specified (or is equal to 0), pasting will be performed for all objects except those that have a turn of 180°. That is, strictly along the line in the opposite direction.

In places of «forks», in the case of equivalence of continuation directions (a pasting without semantic control or the all potential objects-continuations have an identical value of controlled semantics), the object with the smallest turning angle at the pasting point is selected for pasting. If pasting is performed with semantic control, objects with an identical value of the controlled semantics will be pasted, even if there are other objects with a smaller turning angle.
