Electronic key |
The electronic key is an electronic device which is used for protection of the information against illegal use. It is connected to the parallel or USB port of a computer. Connection of an electronic key to the parallel port of a computer is carried out in a joint with the printer and does not impede to work of the printer, i.e. it is transparent for the printer. The electronic key is not transparent for communication systems which carry out information interchange through parallel port not under standard of Centronix (for example, systems of type Fastwire, LapLink, etc.). The Electronic Key should be connected to a computer by a socket of type "plug", the printer is connected to a connector of type "socket". Keys can be connected in cascade, i.e. consistently one to another up to 3 pieces, thus all three keys will be accessible to use. Connection of an electronic key to USB port of a computer is carried out into any free USB-port of a computer from other devices. Protection of the information is made by a principle: the information is accessible to use, only when the Electronic Key is connected to a computer. As the electronic key is the usual electronic device, it can be destroyed as a result of incorrect operation. Connection of an electronic key can be carried out into any free USB-port of a computer. Connection is possible at any time, i.e. there is no necessity to switch off power supply of a computer. For normal work of an electronic key in system Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista it is necessary to connect the additional driver. For its installation it is necessary to start onto an execution the program setup.exe. Preserve an electronic key against mechanical influences (falling, concussion, vibration, etc.), and also from influence of high and low temperatures and corrosive medium; all this can lead to breakage of the case, of elements of printed circuit and sockets of an electronic key. Do not apply excessive efforts at connection of an electronic key to your computer and the printer - to an electronic key. Connection of sockets should be dense and without skews (otherwise the failure of electric circuits of an electronic key is possible). Do not suppose hit onto an electronic key (and in particular - onto its sockets) a dust, a dirt, a moisture, etc. At a contamination of sockets of an electronic key arrange for their clearing before connection to port of your computer. |
