Creating a map of masking zones

The vector map of masking's zones is created with the classifier operator.rsc according to data of masking objects of initial digital topographic map. The map of masking zones is created in subdirectory \masking of the initial map catalog.

The structure of processed objects of an initial digital topographic map is set by button «Select». In the bookmark «Layers» it is necessary to set the layer VEGETATION (FILL) and the type POLYGON. In a bookmark «Objects» it is necessary to set masking objects of an initial digital topographic map, for example: FOREST DENSE HIGH (ORDINARY) and FOREST DENSE LOW. The number of objects of the initial map corresponding to composition set by button «Select», is displayed in the window «Selected map objects».

The minimum area of processed objects of the initial map is specified in the window «Minimum area of object (sq. km)». Objects of the initial map, which area is less than the specified one, are not processed.

The program forms zones of masking of three types: zones of sure, middle and low masking. Masking properties of initial objects are defined by presence at them semantic characteristics the RELATIVE HEIGHT (code = 1, key = RelativeHeight) and DISTANCE BETWEEN TREES (code = 61, key = SpaceAmongTrees). Values of semantic characteristics for zones of sure, middle and low masking are set in groups: «Conditions of sure masking», «Conditions of middle masking», «Conditions of low masking». Objects of an initial map, which values of semantic characteristics do not correspond to these criteria will not be processed.

If objects of the initial map not have semantic characteristics with codes 1 and 61 they can be included in processing for creation of zones of middle and low masking by means of the mode «Presence of object without the specified properties» after a choice of the object type by the button «…».

The number of objects of output map is displayed in the window «Built masking zones».
