Distribution of data on groups

To increase productivity of work of a databank of digital maps and remote sensing data, at processing of large amounts of data, it is expedient to place the data onto different physical media.

For convenience of administration of a databank it is possible to form separate groups of data. For example, the vector data can be grouped into digital maps and digital plans of cities, to mark separate scales or regions.

Each group of data has its own parametres of placing the data for the organization of long-term storage, accounting, reserve copying, selection and delivery.

Before the start moment there should be defined, at least, one group for each type of data (digital maps and the plans, remote sensing data and matrix of heights and terrain model).
