Editing matrix

ic_8161 This task is used for editing a matrix of heights. Editing is understood as changing the values of elements of a matrix. Changing the values of elements can be made with use of the additional data about relief (correction data), and at their absence - by means of calculations by the original edited matrix.

Editing can be performed in the presence of an open edited matrix of elevations and the added of correction data in the form of matrixes of elevations MTW, MTD-models, TIN-models. Corrections data can be absent, thus editing can be performed by means of calculations by the original matrix. Before beginning the process of editing, the source matrix is saved in nested directory MatrixCopy.

Correction data before entering into an edited matrix can be converted. For this purpose it is necessary to enable the mode «Moving of elevations with recalculation» and to set parameters of conversion in dialog «Parameters of recalculation of elevation».

Converting heights of the corrections data allows to correct the matrixes of a relief loaded from SRTM format, by matrixes constructed by objects with relative heights or by depths of isobaths. For summation of relative heights in dialog «Parameters of recalculation of elevation» it is necessary to set factor B = 1, for subtraction of depths it is necessary to set factor B = - 1.

If the mode the Copy of edited matrix is set, then before the beginning of editing's process  the input matrix is saved in enclosed catalog MatrixCopy.

Data of an edited matrix - name of the file, elevation range and the element size is displayed in the Matrix group. The list of the data of correction, and also modes of the request and entering of elevations are contained in group the Elevation data for editing.

If the list of the data for query of heights does not contain proof-reading files (MTW, MTD, TIN) editing can be executed only by means of a mode Additional processing of matrix, allowing to calculate height of the blank areas to delete height, to fill the specified area with constant value of height, and also to add constant value to heights of the specified area.

By buttons of Editing area group it is possible to set area of changeable elements of edited matrix. In the process of editing into area elements the elevations from correction files according to modes of selection and putting of elevations are put. At the using the mode Calculate elevations of empty matrix areas there will be done an additional pass on area of editing for calculation of values of the elements which have not received values of elevation from files of corrections. For calculation of empty elements the elevations of the edited matrix are used.

If there is set the mode Update a range of heights, then after process of editing there is carried out a reading of heights containing in a matrix for the purpose of definition of a new range of heights (the minimum and maximum height). If the mode of Matrix optimization is set, then after editing there is started an optimisation process (deleting of empty blocks) and creation of the reduced copy of a matrix.
