Map in a format of GIS «Map 2011»

The user map in the GIS «Map 2011» is a single set, which contains a set of map layers.

Visualization of the user map is carried out on the basis of the digital classifier of a map *.RSC - the library of conventional symbols containing the list of codes of objects and their names, description of layers and semantic characteristics are stored in a file of resources.

Data about objects of the user map are stored in following files:

- passport of a map (*.SIT), contains metadata about a set of vector data;

- metrics (*.SDA), contains coordinates of objects;

- semantics (*.SSE), contains attributes of objects;

- indexes (*.SHD), contains metadata about object and indexes of records of the metrics and semantics.

Attributive data of the user map can be stored as in the map (in semantics of objects), and in an external relational database. Link with a database is carried out by unique number of object on a map.
