System requirements

GIS Server 2011 program can be installed on any computer in a local network with OS Windows XP, Windows 2003 (2000), Windows Vista. Program GIS Server 2011 for Linux is applied To OS of Linux type.

For each client it is allocated within the limits of 1,5 Mb of operative memory. The number of the open vector maps, rasters and matrixes essentially does not influence the size of allocated memory. For connection of 100 clients it is necessary about 1,5 GB of operative memory on a computer where GIS Server 2011 is installed. The number of connected clients is not limited.

For increase of speed the use of the multiprocessing system boards and data placement on various physical disks is expedient.

In connection with great volumes of transferred data (one image or a matrix can occupy up to 8 GB) it is necessary to have high-speed connection between a server and a client.
