At a choice of polygon or linear objects for creation of a measuring triangle that piece of the metrics is chosen, which was the nearest to the cursor at the moment of a choice of object. As a result of an execution of operation the measuring triangle will be constructed. Values of lengths of the sides and corners of a triangle (internal and external) are displayed in a dialogue window.

The mode is intended for getting measures of lines and the sizes of angles. Measurements are made within the triangle. The operator specifies the points limiting it. Angular points of a measured triangle are got as a result of a choice of following combinations of objects of a map: three dot, one linear (polygon) and one dot, two polygon (linear) in any combination.
