Passport Data Structure

Print Top page

The passport data section in the SXF format text file is located at the beginning of the file between the lines with the keywords SXF and DAT.

Passport data is recorded as lines containing a passport parameter identifier of the form Pxxx and its corresponding value. The identifier and the parameter value are separated by a space (spaces). For example: P001 - nomenclature code, parameter number 1.

In the binary SXF format file, passport data is located in the passport record and in the semantics of the sheet frame (see Appendix Z.).

The most commonly used passport parameters (characteristics) are as follows:

P000 Conventional sheet name

P001 Nomenclature code

P002 Generalized map type

Geodetic coordinates of the map frame corner vertices in radians in floating-point format, separated by a space (spaces):

P101 B L of the southwestern corner

P102 B L of the northwestern corner

P103 B L of the northeastern corner

P104 B L of the southeastern corner

Rectangular coordinates of the frame corner vertices in meters, separated by a space, according to the map type, projection, and coordinate system:

P109 X Y of the southwestern corner

P110 X Y of the northwestern corner

P111 X Y of the northeastern corner

P112 X Y of the southeastern corner

P116 Coordinate system

P117 Height system

P118 Ellipsoid type

P119 Map projection

P120 Frame type

P207 Map scale denominator
