Obligatory conditions of correct execution of a procedure are coincidence of a direction of digitization of more thick horizontals and presence of the absolute height value in semantics for them. For mode execution it is necessary to indicate a code of created isolines (in a dialog at mode start), sequentially to select more thick horizontals and to indicate their parts.

At part selection it is necessary to adhere to the following rules: - selected parts should be opposite one another; - in case there are already built isolines on the ends of chosen parts, the parts should be selected «in overlapping», as at the presence of already existing objects with the same absolute height value in semantics within of neighborhood of initial and (or) final points of created objects that (neighborhood) has been fixed in Map Editor Options (Join tolerance) the created objects will be automatically jointed with already existing one.

The mode can be used for semi-automatic building of a set from four principal isolines (contours) between two thickened contours in places where the image of the principal contours on an initial material is absent owing to the made discharge of a relief.
