The procedure for user actions in case of an error about inaccessibility of a license.

 

To determine the license number, you need to call the «About» dialog in the main menu.

 

When working with the application, the following messages may appear in the license information:

 

License does not contain rights to use the program – The license for the program does not contain permissions to use the program. The program will only work in demo mode. You need to purchase a license for the program. You can view the license settings in the «Appear license» dialog box.

 

License for use has expired – The license has expired. The program will only work in demo mode. You need to purchase a license for the program.

 

Technical support has expired – It is not possible to update and install new versions of the program. All new versions will work in demo mode, it is possible to use only versions before the technical support end date, which can be downloaded from https://gisinfo.ru/download/download_archives.htm. Renewal of technical support is required.

 

License to use expires – Your license is about to expire. There is no more than 1 month left for the program to work. After the specified date, the program will only work in demo mode. To use the program after 1 month, a license renewal is required.

 

Technical support period expires – It will be possible to update and install new versions of the program not longer than 1 month. After the specified date, it will not be possible to update and install new versions. Renewal of technical support is required.

 

License to use the program was not found – The license was not found on the computer due to its absence or due to an incorrect license.

If a local license of the USB key type is installed, then you need to make sure that the key is installed in the computer, is highlighted in green and is detected by the operating system. In the Windows operating system for control of availability of the USB key it is possible to use the grddiag.exe utility which should be started on the same computer where the USB key is installed. If the USB key is not detected in the operating system, then it is necessary to reinstall the dongle drivers for Windows.

 

For the Registration key license type, make sure that the license is activated and that the license file is present in the system (c:\ProgramData\Panorama\panorama.lic or /var/panorama/panorama.lic).

If the license type is the Floating hardware license, then you need to check that the network license server is available. To monitor or configure the network license server, launch an Internet browser and type in the address bar the IP address of the computer on which the server and the key are installed, in the following format: http://<path>:<port number>, for example, http://192.168.0.1:3185. Then you will see the information about the Guardant Net server and the electronic keys, which it is serving at the moment.

If the message repeats, then you need to activate the diagnostic mode, log in to the program and send the generated log c:\\ProgramData\\Program_name.User_name.log to the technical support service with the license number.

 

Computer parameters did not match for the registration key – Attempt to run the program on a new computer with new hardware parameters that differ from those set in the license. The program will only work in demo mode. It is necessary to generate a new registration file (for the current computer parameters) and contact the technical support service (with the transfer of a new registration file) about the possibility of re-registering the license.

Error messages about working with a USB key (local or network) may contain additional information about the character of the error:

Guardant USB key not found - no suitable USB key was found on the local computer.

 

Network protocol not found - for the network license, in the settings for communication with the Guardant server, a network protocol is specified that is not supported on the computer. You must contact your network administrator to generate the correct gnclient.ini file.

 

Network resource of the program is exhausted - for the program, when using a network license on the Guardant license server, there is currently no number of valid licenses (or the number of licenses was initially 0).

 

Connection to the GuardantNet server was lost - when accessing the Guardant license server, the connection was lost. You need to restart the program.

 

GuardantNet server not found - Guardant license server was not found at the IP-address specified in the license settings.

 

Memory allocation error in the GuardantNet server - incorrect operation of the Guardant license server. You need to restart the Guardant license server.

 

GuardantNet server was rebooted - while the program was running, the Guardant license server was restarted. You need to restart the program.

 

Network protocol error - an error during network communication with the Guardant license server. You need to restart the program.

 

Client configuration file could not be created - the program cannot create a file c:\Users\Public\Documents\Panorama\gnclient.ini . Make sure that c:\Users\Public\Documents\Panorama \ is allowed to write and restart the program.
