Built-up area generalization        

In order to improve the visibility of the quarters image, small quarters are united, the width of passages is enlarged, and the densely built-up part of the quarters is expanded to an off-scale conventional sign with the removal of buildings that are not expressed in map scale within the quarters.

Generalization of built-up areas is carried out in the following order:

- automated passages axises forming;

- setting type of passage;

- automated passages forming;

- interactive editing the passages and quarters;

- automated quarters forming (cutting, uniting);

- interactive analysis of quality of output map;

- processing of buildings.
