Update period

The objects of a vector map, that is placed on GIS Server, can be edited simultaneously by several users via the network. Some part of object can be placed in the RAM of the computer for speeding up processing. To make editing results viewable for all users map contents get updated after time interval set by user (default value is 30 seconds). The user can increase or reduce this value.

The update period does not influence data integrity on the magnetic carrier. The data in files are updated directly after completion of an editing by any of the users and are updated on their screen. That is, the update period is necessary for forced upgrade of the image for those users, which default editing a map.

The upgrade is fulfilled only, if a state of the data in the file and on the screen of the computer differ.
