Binarization of a raster map

The binarization is intended for conversion of a raster map having palette of 16 and 256 colors into the binary form. The method of threshold processing of grey shades is used as a binarization process base.

As a threshold the dynamically defined value is used.

The value of color is installed equal to black color if its index is less than threshold value, or is installed in white color if the index more or is equal to the given threshold (comparing by color index).

When image with gray shades is processing it is expedient to apply Comparison on index of color mode.

The processing by threshold values converts the image obtained in shades of gray color in black-and-white.

When color images are processing there is an additional possibility of comparing of a threshold with color value. Image conversion in black-and-white is realized similarly.

Operation with the dialogue

File name of a raster map field allows to select 16, 256 color raster for the following threshold processing.

Formed palette window show the graphic palette of a raster map transformed by method of threshold processing.

View field is intended for turning on (turning off) synchronous redrawing of a raster map in the document window.

Comparison on an index of color selects between modes: Comparison of threshold with color index and Comparison of threshold with color value.

The movable indicator allows dynamically to change threshold value.

Execute button confirms changes of a raster map and closes the dialogue.

Cancel button restores all rasters, changed by the present mode, and closes the dialogue.

Reset button is intended for restoring the graphic palette of the current raster.

Apply button redraw a raster map with changes in the document window. The button works  at turning off View mode.
