Converter to S57 format

The task is intended for execution of converting of the information from format of a vector map of Map 2011 system into S57 format.

This version of the converter forms target data for EN profile of S57 standard.

The input vector map should have Transverse Mercator projection and by object data to correspond to the standard of exchange of International Hydrographic Organization for digital hydrographic data.

The output information for an execution of the task is:

- catalog of data in S57 format (030 extension);

- files of data (000 extension);

After input of the source information the user can change a name of an input vector map (originally it coincides with a name of an active vector map) and a name of the output catalog of data in S57 format (originally it coincides with a name of an input vector map, but with 030 extension).

For an ensuring of forming a matrix of depths it is necessary to establish point objects which will be placed into a matrix of depths by use of Depth button.

The structure of formed data of S57 format in relation to an source vector map is established by use of Filter button.

Having set all necessary parameters the user can press Execute button for starting process of converting.

The following information is given to the user during converting:

- number of convertible sheets;

- number of the created objects in a processable sheet;

- name of a formed file of data with 000 extension;

- number of errors in a processable sheet;

- total errors at processing all sheets.

The user has an opportunity to interrupt execution of process having pressed Cancel button.

As a result of converting it will be created the data catalog of S57 format (030 extension) and one or several data files of S57 format (000 extension) depending on quantity of sheets in an initial vector map (MAP extension) and the established filter.

Codes of map objects, codes of objects attributes and their values coincide with codes in an initial vector map (MAP extension).

FIDS and FIDN subfield of FOID field of S57 standard are formed on the basis of service codes of attributes (semantics):

32778 - value of FIDS subfield for FOID field of S57 standard;

32779 - value of FIDN subfield for FOID field of S57 standard.
