Preservation of metadata in XML |
The task «Preservation of metadata in XML» is intended for formation of XML-documents under scheme MD_Metadata. The task is carried out by pressing the key Metadata in XML which is located on the bookmark "Metadata" of dialog of creation and editing of the map passport. When you call the task from the mode of viewing the passport for an open map the existing file of metadata is read. In dialog the data from the read file of metadata are displayed. If the file of the metadata is not found, the data into dialog are written from the passport. XML-document contains basic information about the metadata and allows to describe by whom and when the metadata were created, what standard was the basis for the formation of metadata, etc. XML-document is formed for each sheet of a map. The filename .xml is set automatically by name of a map sheet. Files of the metadata are saved into the folder with map sheets. Information for formation of XML-document is taken from the map passport (sheet coordinates etc.) and from dialog. At creation of a new multisheet map the data onto sheets should be filled, then it is possible to save metadata in XML.
In dialog the following fields are filled: «General information about source data and their processing technologies», "Comment", «Code EPSG», security classification and a format of the data are indicated. Also in dialog there should be specified the information about the data set organization-manufacturer, and on the employee who performed the download of the data and entry of metadata. "Comment" field contains a brief description of the data set. Data about the organizations and employees can be chosen from special XML files. Dialog allows to create and edit XML files, which contain lists of the organizations and staff.
The dialog displays organizations and staff from the specified file .xml and information about the chosen organization and the employee. The list of .xml files is formed of all open files. The name of selected file and the first ten files of the list are stored in the file panorama.ini. By a next call of the dialog the active file and the list are set by the previous session. |
