Configuring ODBC to access the database Visual FoxPro, FoxPro, (*.dbf, *.dbc)

  1. Start program the Data Source Administrator.
  2. In section User DSN or System DSN click Add button.
  3. In the appeared window choose driver Microsoft FoxPro VFP Driver and click the button Finish.
  4. In the appeared window in the field Data Source Name it is necessary to enter a name of a data source (for example, ExampleFoxPro). In Database type section (type of a database) choose Free Table directory if you use files dbf or Visual FoxPro Database if you use database Visual FoxPro. In Path window enter the path to the catalog where files dbf are located or the path to database Visual FoxPro.
  5. Click Ok. Once again Ok.
  6. In the program, in section the Data Source select the data source you created (ExampleFoxPro).
  7. If for access to a database it is required to enter a name and password, enter them in the appropriate fields.
  8. Check the workability of the created data source.
