Simple filter

Simple filter is called with help of Search and filter / Simple filter command and is used for filtering  and search of data set records by expression and by range.  

The user should form expression for filter independently. For construction of filter expression the table "Filter builder grid" which contains three following columns is given:

- Field name. Contains the list of fields names of data set by which search or a filtering will be carried out.

- Operator. Contains the list of allowable operations which becomes active by double click of the left mouse button on the chosen cell. Contents of the list changes depending on that whether the value is specified in a Value field or not.

- Value. Contains the list of values of the chosen data set field. After double click of the left mouse button on the chosen cell, on the right an arrow appear, at pressing onto  this arrow the list is opened where it is possible to choose one of elements. Thus it is possible to enter any allowable value into a cell.

Let's consider an example of forming of expression for filter:

[ПУНКТ] = 'Aбакан' AND [ВРЕМЯ] <> '12.00'

For this purpose in table "Filter builder grid" it is necessary:

1. To proceed to a line containing ПУНКТ field name and to specify 'Aбакан' value in the current cell of Value column (or after double click of the left mouse button on the given cell to make active the list with values or to enter the data independently).

2. To proceed to a line containing TIME field name and to specify "12.00" value in the current cell of Value column.

3. Logic operator AND will be added automatically.

The formed thus expression for filter will be shown in Filter builder grid window. Thus editing of the created expression in Filter builder grid window is forbidden. The filter template, set in the given mode, may be edited in Enhanced search and filter mode.

You can save the formed expression for filter (Save button). You can select the saved earlier query in Saved filter list window. By pressing the Clear current button deleting of the current expression for filter is made. With help of the Clear list button you can clear the queries list from all earlier saved elements.

Management of filtering  of a data set is carried out with help of buttons: Filter, Search and Drop.
