Print a map

Enables the map print dialog.

Print dialog:

As print area All region or a district area can be chosen. To select the area of a print it is necessary to press the Select button, then in the appeared window of selecting the print area to note area on a map by two points.

Selection of print area:

The scale of printing depends on the current mode of placing the image on the page:

-Split to page - the scale is set from the list of standard scales;

-Fit to page - the scale is calculated automatically and can not be changed. Paginal division is made according to the sizes of the page, specified orientation of page layout (portrait, landscape), and also left and top margins;

-Accord to page - the scale is set from the list of standard scales. A choice of the output area and changing the size of the chosen area are not available.

Additional print parametres

Output type:

-Vector (output of only vector information);

-Raster (output of vector, raster and matrix information);

-Vector for PostScript (the alternative output of vector information, it is intended for creation of PostScript-files using the driver of the PostScript-compatible output device).

Orientation of print page:

-Portrait (vertical page layout);

-Landscape (horizontal page layout);

-Margins (of print pages are set in millimetres from the pages margins - on the left, top, right, bottom);

-Offset of the image (it is specified in millimeters from left and top margins of the first page (the left top page);

-Print frame (allows to print a black outline of specified print area (on the scheme it is highlighted by a red line);

-Print to file (allows to create a print file in language which is supported by the given printer device).

Print is activated by pressing the Print button. Thus, dialog of a map print is closed, the dialog of the printing process is loaded that provides information about what data and onto which device are printed. By pressing the Cancel button in dialog of process a print is interrupted (with some delay).

Process of a direct output of the image onto sheet can take from several seconds to tens of minutes, depending on the amount of output data, speed of the computer, type of the printer and quality of a print.
