Authorization of users

Complex uses technics of an access interdiction to unidentified users to ensure data security.

Definition of the rights and restrictions of users is performed by the system administrator by means of program pgAdmin (included in PostgreSQL). To each user there are assigned rights of using the metadata database in accordance with one of the established roles of entry:

-guest (viewing the contents of the metadata database, obtaining the information - statistical information, tabular and graphical reports);

-performer (in addition to the rights of «guest» - the rights to addition of records and formation of applications);

-administrator (full access, including setting the table structure, definition of users lists, deleting of the records and complete cleaning of the database).

At starting the program the operator is offered to enter the information necessary for access to the database:

-conventional name of the database server;

-database name;

-login and password of the registered user.

The name of the database server, database name and login of last operator who has carried out logon, are stored in the Complex ini-file.

Password is entered at each login.
