Structure of metadata database

At Program work the database of metadata which is a part  of the «Complex of maintaining a databank of digital maps» is used. The structure of metadata database is described in the documentation to the software «Complex of maintaining a databank of digital maps» PARB.00033-01 (hereinafter - DBDM). The database can function on the basis of DBMS of type PostgreSQL <http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/PostgreSQL>. For this purpose on the workplace on which the Program is executed, the ODBC driver should be installed.

Prior to the beginning of performance of the program by means of «Complex of maintaining a databank of digital maps» initial formation of the metadata database should be performed.

The stage of initial formation of the metadata database includes creation (or installation) and customization of necessary tables, customization of the server and  the interface of connection to base of metadata. Besides, at a stage of initial formation of metadata database the Administrator of system forms by means of administration of DBMS the «Table of roles»; «List of themes names of directories» and itself the «Classifier of directories». These tables are necessary for the first start of the software DBDM.

Tables «Description of stored formats of digital maps, plans and remote sensing data», «Table of groups», «Description of organizations», «Description of the staff» are necessary to start formation of the metadata database. They are formed by the operator at the stage of execution of preliminary works and can be specified in the course of conducting base of metadata.

«Table of versions», «Table of realized applications», «Table of movement of materials», «Description of metadata of remote sensing data», «Description of metadata of digital vector maps and plans», «Description of metadata of matrixes of heights and terrain models», «Table of operators actions» are formed automatically in the course of conducting base of metadata. Editing of these tables is authorised only to the user with the Administrator rights.

Prior to the beginning of performance of the program by means of the "Complex of conducting a databank of digital maps» initial formation of the metadata base should be performed.

Prior to the beginning of Program performance it is necessary to execute start of DBDM, to customize paths of placing the maps - schemes of presence of the spatial data in DBDM.
