Prefix-postfix

Previous Top Next

Mechanism «Prefix-postfix» allows to perform batch processing of data sets.

As a rule, the filename from a Shape-data set consists of a prefix (or a postfix), describing a belonging of territory and the basic part specifying the type of objects stored in this file.

For example, one data set onto concrete territory may be a similar list:

mosobl-admin-a.shp

mosobl-admin-l.shp

mosobl-bound.shp

mosobl-buildings-a.shp

mosobl-bus_stop-p.shp

or:

admin-a-mosobl.shp

admin-l-mosobl.shp

bound-mosobl.shp

buildings-a-mosobl.shp

bus_stop-p-mosobl.shp

Obviously, that the common part (prefix) in the first case is the text «mosobl-», in the second case the common part (postfix) is the text «-mosobl», and the remaining part of each of files - the indication onto its contents.

In turn files with the same internal contents from different sets have a constant basic part and different prefixes:

russia-admin-a.shp

krasnodar-admin-a.shp

lipetsk-admin-a.shp

mosobl-admin-a.shp

For the organization of batch processing into a file of parameters only the main "pure" part of a file is saved.

In the further at loading the project the full name of a loaded file is analyzed. And if in the configuring file the "pure" name is found, which is a part of the name of a loaded file - automatically matching is set.

It is possible to make formation of a prefix and a postfix automatically (by pressing the appropriate buttons) or to enter manually.
