Constructing chart of atlas pages

Previous Top Next

Stage of technology of atlas formation

Constructing chart of the atlas pages is carried out in an automatic mode. Before an execution the following parameters of construction are established:

- size, fields and orientation of page;

- sizes of overlappings of the next pages;

- pages layout;

- output area.

Size of page (in mm) is selected from the list of the standard sizes of a paper or can be established by the user if in the list the "different" item is chosen. Fields Width and Height serve for assignment of the sizes of paper page in mm.

Fields of page are used for assignment of the sizes of fields (indents from edge) in mm on a paper.

Orientation of page:

Book - establishes vertical orientation of page.

Album - establishes horizontal orientation of page.

The sizes of overlapping (in millimeters) establish the sizes of overlapping of the next pages on left (right) and top (bottom) the sides of page.

Pages layout:

One-sided - each page is formed separately.

Double-sided - pages are formed by pairs (for a turn of two pages). Each pair pages has the common marginal representation :

Output area - the rectangular map fragment intended for constructing the chart of the atlas pages. As output area the All region, a fragment chosen on a map, or the fragment corresponding to the dimensions of chosen map object of a map can be chosen. The choice of a fragment on a map is carried out by pressing buttons Select or By object. Change of the earlier chosen fragment is carried out by pressing the Change button.

By pressing the Execute button the constructing the chart of atlas pages is carried out. Result of construction is the map of the atlas scheme which opens atop of initial data:

The map of the scheme of the atlas is written down into the enclosed catalogue of basic map Pages \Scheme.  The objects, plotted of the scheme, are incorporated into groups (page by page).

Blue frame marks the internal area of page which is the main object of group of subordinates:

- zones of the atlas page (color translucent);

- name of the page zone of the atlas (labels of the name of zones).

White (translucent) fields of the page are the main object for the subordinated objects such as Internal page area.

At a two-sided arrangement of the atlas pages, the object of type the Fields of the atlas page has two subordinated objects of type Internal page area.

Use of group objects allows to simplify operations of interactive editing of the scheme at a following stage of technology of the atlas reparation.

If you need to move and rotate the schema page, the all group is selected in the map editor mode the Set of objects - Select all set.

Codes of the scheme objects are marked by numbers:

701 - Fields of the atlas page (20 mm)

705 - Internal area of page (a dark blue line)

707 - Name of zone of atlas page (A, B, C, D, I, F)

720 - Zones of atlas page (color translucent)

At change of parameters of constructing the chart (format, fields or orientation of pages) the scheme can be reconstructed. At repeated construction the question on addition of the existing scheme is asked to the user. At the positive answer into the existing scheme new pages are added, at negative - the old scheme is deleted, and the new scheme is created.
