Creation of arbitrary map fragment

Previous Top Next

Standard map has rectangular or trapezoidal frame. You can extract map fragment of arbitrary shape from source map. For example it is buffer zone built as a circle around selected map object. Note that such similar nonstandard maps should be user's one (since they can have no standard frame, that is admitted only for user maps).

To create a new map by fragment of existing one you should:

- Create output user map, to copy objects to.

- Draw a polygon object forming outline of a new map or use Building buffer zone mode

(Map computers item of Tools menu) to build a zone around of selected map object, and to save it as map object.

- Mark objects to be copied (Mark option of Search menu).

- Select an object - outline of a created map.

- Activate Copy marked objects to map mode of Map Editor.

- On a problem: Cut by selected object?  - answer Yes.

- Select output user map in the list (it is earlier created user map).

- Copy All or Selected objects.
