Layer matrix building may be executed by several input data types: vector map, text file and data base table. As the information on layers (stratums of earth crust) is very specific and is not classified from the topographic processing view point, there is designed a technique of installation the conformity of a regular set the member numeric values (powers of layers) to its semantic description (legend). As all semantic information is stored in the classifier, it is necessary to execute classifier preparation in a part of monitoring objects before matrix building. It is necessary to check presence and initial data correctness also.
