Actual projection options

Displaying a set of vector maps, rasters and matrixes is usually performed in a certain projection on the plane. Parameters of projection in which all data are displayed, are usually set from those data that are opened by the first.

At adding new maps, matrixes or rasters to the open data the control of conformity of parameters of projections is performed. If opened data have other parameters it is offered to do transformation of data to those parameters that the earlier open data have.

If at opening the vector maps onto the offer to convert the data to answer no, data  will open without change in a place of their storage (locally or on a server), but their display will be correct due to an execution of transformation during the moment of display. It slows down display a little, but allows to combine data from various sources in parallel on many workplaces and in different projections. Thus, the vector maps stored in geodetic coordinates, are transformed at display faster, than the maps storing coordinates in meters. To change a storage format it is possible in the task Sorting.

If at opening the raster and matrix maps onto the offer to convert the data to answer no, they open without converting (transformation) and their image can mismatch to the earlier open data. In this case, to combine the image of vector data and rasters or matrixes with different projections parameters it is possible by means of dialogue Actual projection options, if to set for display of all data such parameters which have rasters and matrixes. To do this, you can click the button By rasters.

To see result of data transformation on the chosen parameters without closing the dialog, click Apply button.

To return those parameters which the first open map has, it is necessary to p click Reset button.

To set new current options for display of data and to close dialogue it is necessary to click Ok button.

If current parameters of a projection mismatch projection parameters of the first open map into heading of a window of a map after Type word the name of current conventional type of a map is displayed.

For example:

C: \Panorama11 \Data \Podolsk \Podolsk.map, maps: 1, matrixes: 2, Type: Geographic Mercator.

And in the bottom part of a window in a line of the comment the value from the map passport is displayed.

For example:

Topographic 42 year.

If current parameters of a projection are installed, then the plane rectangular coordinates (in meters) in all dialogs are displayed and edited according to the specified parameters of a projection. For example, the map is created in system of coordinates 42 years, and parameters of a projection are set as Topographic UTM WGS 84. Thus, in all dialogs the plane coordinates will be displayed in UTM projection on spheroid WGS-84 according to the chosen axial meridian. At saving coordinates they will automatically be converted to the projection and coordinates system of a map.
