Connecting the atlas of maps

Previous Top

The atlas of maps is intended for simplification of transition between the overlapping maps of different scale. The atlas contains a tree of maps and plans of cities and provides automatic and manual transition between them at scaling and moving the image. Physically the atlas is the user map consisting of file with extensions ALS, SDA, SHD, SSE and of the classifier arealist.rsc.

To create the atlas for the GIS Server, it is necessary to create a new atlas. For this purpose it is necessary to choose in the GIS Panorama 11 the item of the main menu «Window\Open atlas», and then at a choice of data, to use the button «Append data from GIS Server».    In the created atlas the pointers to aliases of data (ALIAS#name-data) will be saved only. In the atlas opened through the GIS Server, there should not be direct paths to data (C: \Data\...).

The created atlas should be placed on the Server and is included into the list of the maps accessible to corresponding category of users. Each of data elements of the data included into the atlas, should be included also into the list of accessible cartographical data with their conditions of access (read, write, copy).
