Connect lines at crossings

After a vectoring the roads become broken off on crossroads. For connecting the regions belonging to one road, their connection in places of crossings is carried out.

For this purpose it is necessary to specify tolerances for connection of lines pieces.

The algorithm first calculates a direction of the ends of pieces, and then connects pieces, if the angle and distance between the ends of pieces is less than the specified tolerance.

Due to the fact that lines on crossroads are shifted toward adjacent road, it is necessary to cut off their edges at a merge.

The length of a cut line is defined by parameter «Cut ends of lines».

After connection of lines on crossings the network of major thoroughfares is defined.
